Every man’s application waits here until someone on our team has opened his ID document, looked at his LinkedIn if he gave one, and read his written answers. Then we approve him, ask for more, or turn him down. Until then he can’t be introduced to anyone.

The matchmaker opens one woman’s profile and reads her preferences. Verified men who fit her age range and city come first; anyone outside her age range is flagged, and men in another city can’t be introduced. The matchmaker chooses one and writes the note that goes with the introduction; here, Meera’s to Kabir has just gone out.

What Kabir sees
Each introduction reaches him with the matchmaker’s note, and he accepts or passes. When both say yes, as with Tara, the conversation opens.
